MLA vs APA Style of Writing!

Similarities:
1. Both indicate page numbers

2. They both are double spaced throughout the entirety of the paper

3. When there is a quotation of 40 or more words or 4 or more lines then a space of about 5 to 7 spaces are indented about a 1/2 in and used for those quotes

Differences:
1. Along with page numbers, MLA indicates the author's name while APA does not

2. APA has a whole introduction page for the title, author and other things, while MLA starts on it's first page

3. APA has first level headings that are both bold faced and centered

4. MLA has pictures positioned closest to the text it relates and has picture number, caption, and parenthetical documentation

5. MLA gives name, teacher, class and date on the title page: all on upper left-hand side
